Raima Database Manager (RDM) Embedded Distributed extension provides additional reliability to our
time tested and dependable RDM database engine. We have added many components in this Distributed solution
that will help embedded system developers develop distributed applications while maintaining high-performance,
real-time, small footprint embedded database solution.
Overview:
Unique to RDMe Distributed is the ability to access data distributed across multiple embedded systems mounted on a
back plane or across geographical continents. Distributed data solves the problem of data fan-out or data clustering
which is typically found in enterprise systems such as the Google Search Engine, or Expedia's Flight Booking System.
Within all markets, but especially in the Telecom market, requirements for enterprise features like distributed data
has become increasingly important to embedded system developers. The RDMe Distributed Data solution provides
distributed database capabilities to the embedded systems market.

Distributed Database Support - Multiple databases is a single system! RDM Embedded's distributed database supports allows any application to connect to one or more databases and query them as if it was a single instance. Use this technology to do global queries, locally or across a network, to multiple databases instances without caring about where the data is located. In addition the technology can be used to achieve true horizontal scaling across clustered or distributed systems.
