Steinar Sande brings over 25 years of experience in hardware and software sales for industry leading companies such as IBM, Sun and Computer Associates. He joined the company in 2000 as Vice President of Sales where he was responsible for the worldwide sales of the Raima database products. Starting January 1, 2005 Mr. Sande took over as Raima’s Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Sande holds a BA in Business and Economics from the BI Norwegian School of Management.

Wayne Warren, together with Randy Merilatt, left Boeing in 1982 to start the organization that became Raima. In 1984, Raima released its first commercial product, db_VISTA, which is the predecessor of today’s RDM Embedded. In the 90’s, Mr. Warren designed and implemented the client/server product now known as RDM Server. In recent years, he has lead the effort to modernize the RDM Embedded product so that it runs well in multi-core and networked configurations. Mr. Warren earned a MS in Computer Science in 1978 from Colorado State University.

Bill Houglum brings nearly 30 years of experience in leading teams in the development and testing of commercial software. He joined Raima in 1996 and was promoted to V.P. of Engineering and Services in 2007. He has lead multiple development projects including the re-architecting of both RDM Server and RDM Embedded. An expert in embedded database technology and embedded systems he has authored several articles and blogs. Mr. Houglum holds a BS of Information Technology and Databases from the University of Phoenix.

Randy Merilatt has over 35 years experience in software development. Along with Wayne Warren, he co-founded Raima in 1982 where they developed the original version of Raima’s database management system products. His primary role at Raima has been as a principal systems architect responsible for technologies such as RDM Server’s SQL component, hot online backup subsystem, multithreaded application link and dynamic DDL capabilities as well as a new RDM Embedded SQL being implemented for use in real-time and embedded computing applications.

Paul Johnson joined Raima in April 2007 bringing over twenty years of marketing and operational experience to the company. Prior to joining Raima he worked at Microsoft as a product manager in the SMSG SD Group. He has also worked as an independent consultant working with clients like the Microsoft managing events for the Windows Evangelism Team and with MySQL to create their product packaging, fulfillment and distribution of their open source database product. Paul holds a MBA in Ecommerce and Information Systems as well as a BA in Business Management both from Seattle University.

Scott Meder brings over 23 years of sales experience to Raima. Scott joined Raima in 1994 where he directed his own regional territory and helped build an inside sales team. Mr. Meder is now responsible for Raima’s worldwide sales organization.
