Birdstep Technology announces the hiring of Paul Johnson as Marketing Manager for its database division
SEATTLE - May 23, 2008 - Birdstep Technology (OSE: BIRD) today announced that Paul Johnson has joined the database division as Marketing Manager

Mr. Johnson brings over twenty years of industry experience to Birdstep Technology. Most recently he was working at Microsoft as a product manager in the SMSG SD Group. Prior to working for Microsoft he ran his own consulting firm working with the Microsoft's Windows Evangelist Group managing developer events such as the Windows Server DevCon and Route 64 Worldwide Tour. He also worked with MySQL establishing the original product packaging of their open source database. Other positions held by Mr. Johnson include Senior Product Manager for Raima's database technologies, now Birdstep's database division and Operations Manager for Microrim developers of one the first truly relational database, R:BASE.
Paul holds a MBA as well as BA in Business Management both from Seattle University
