India's National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited Doubles Deployments of RDM Embedded-Based Trading Application

Birdstep Technology further increases its Presence in the Financial Marketplace

SEATTLE/OSLO - October 5, 2004 - Birdstep Technology (OSE: BIRD) today announced its continued growth in the financial marketplace with National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited's (NCDEX) additional orders of the RDM Embedded data management solution. NCDEX has more than doubled its RDM Embedded based usage in its commodity trading application.

RDM Embedded provides NCDEX with a high performance, proven embedded data management solution. Data management in financial trading applications must provide very high transaction rates and exceptional reliability. With RDM Embedded, NCDEX achieves unmatched transaction performance in an exceptionally stable product. The combination of features, performance and size has made RDM Embedded popular for financial service applications.
