Birdstep Technology is the First Database Provider for Green Hills Software's New INTEGRITY Security Platforms
Birdstep Technology's Databases Now Cover the Entire Range of Systems Running on the INTEGRITY Operating System, Offering Scalability from Enterprise to Embedded Systems
SEATTLE/OSLO - April 19, 2005 - Birdstep Technology, Inc. (OSE: BIRD) has extended its support for Green Hills Software's INTEGRITY Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) and has become the first database provider for new INTEGRITY Operating System platforms. Green Hills Software released new versions of its INTEGRITY operating system that will run on desktop PCs, servers, workstations and PDAs. Birdstep Technology is the first database provider for these new enterprise INTEGRITY platforms, as well as providing databases for the INTEGRITY embedded and real-time platforms. Birdstep ported RDM Server, database management software, to the new INTEGRITY platforms and offers RDM Embedded as the database of choice for INTEGRITY customers using embedded systems.
The new INTEGRITY operating system products let enterprises build multi-level secure systems using Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) products. INTEGRITY achieves unprecedented levels of reliability, availability, and serviceability for applications in telecommunications, aerospace and defense, networking and medical equipment along with many other industries.
Birdstep Technology's databases cover the whole range of Green Hills Software's customers' database needs, from small, embedded devices that require in-memory, embedded systems to large enterprise systems that require multiple servers and workstations. Birdstep's databases became the databases of choice for the INTEGRITY platform due to their high-performance, speed and reliability at all levels. Birdstep's databases enhance the INTEGRITY operating system's reliability, high-availability and speed; together forming a powerful combination for business critical needs.
